Nutramerican Pharma, a Colombian company leader in the nutrition and health sector, has
reached a historic milestone by obtaining the prestigious FSSC 22000 international certification,
establishing itself as one of the 62 food plants in Colombia and among the select 31,000 worldwide to achieve this
recognition for excellence in quality and safety.
The FSSC 22000 certification is a globally recognized seal of quality that ensures
Nutramerican Pharma products meet the highest standards in food safety, quality management, and
good manufacturing practices, guaranteeing the suitability of our products for consumption.
This achievement is not only a cause for celebration for Nutramerican Pharma, but also for all of Colombia,
which is proud to have a local company recognized internationally and with the doors open to export to the most demanding
markets in the world, underscoring the importance of this milestone for the nation.
Achieving the FSSC 22000 certification is not only a recognition of the quality of
Nutramerican Pharma's products, but also a testament to its commitment to innovation and excellence. With
more than 2,000 jobs generated nationwide, the company positions itself as a key driver of the country's
economic and social development.
Since March 28, 2024, our company Nutramerican Pharma has been certified under the international
standard FSSC 22000.
WHAT IS FSSC 22000?
It is the most demanding standard at the top of the international regulatory pyramid regarding quality and
food safety. It is endorsed by the GFSI, the Global Food Safety Initiative that drives the continuous
improvement of food safety management systems worldwide. It is risk-based and has HACCP (Hazard Analysis and
Critical Control Points) as one of its foundations.
In Colombia, only 51 out of 6,000 food-producing companies hold this certification; we are part of the top
1% in the country, as its complexity is quite high and the standards it requires are very stringent.
